Abstract: This event, and especially this introductory session, is intended to show our appreciation for the impressive work and many contributions of our growing international community of Citizen Data Scientists using Altair software to achieve their goals.

It provides a big-picture overview of the day’s sessions and some highlights from customer stories involving data analytics or AI/ML.  Along the way, we point out some handy resources available online (especially for the Altair RapidMiner software) intended to help new users get started and experienced users expand their knowledge and perhaps obtain certification.

Key analyses, such as clustering, ad performance evaluation, and conversion rate optimization, help students understand campaign effectiveness and user engagement. Abstract: Dr. Arturo Patungan, Assistant Professor at the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines, introduces his course on Data Science and Analytics. “Pangingisda” is a term used to describe his approach to teaching Introduction to Data Science and Analytics (IDSA), which is sometimes mistaken for ISDA. In Filipino,”isda” means “fish,” and “pangingisda” translates to “fishing,” a fitting metaphor for the course’s goal of “fishing” students from various disciplines and drawing them into the applications of Data Science and Analytics in their respective fields of study.

Abstract: This presentation will demonstrate all the steps of performing supervised machine learning that is cleanup, missing data handling using replace missing operator, cross-validation partitioning, use of decision tree algorithm, creation of at least 3 models, best model selection, and finally deployment of the best model parameters on the new data or data whose target class needs to be predicted. The presentation will be very helpful for teachers to understand and use it accordingly as assignments for their students.
