Aiko Yamashita, Senior Data Scientist at CoE Advanced Analytics, DNB

Aiko has a background in Informatics with a PhD in experimental software engineering. Aiko has 10+ years of experience in data analytics within the logistics, retail, and finance industries. She currently works as a Senior Data Scientist at the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Analytics at DNB - identifying and enabling key analytics initiatives in Scandinavia’s largest bank. Aiko is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University - where she has taught courses in Data Science and supervised students.

As a strong believer in the responsible use of data, AI, and technology in general, Aiko is a passionate advocate for data literacy in DNB and will be talking about the risks and rewards of adopting a digital-first approach.

Girish Agarwal, Chief Information & Digital Officer, Piab

Girish has over 15 years of combined IT and Digital Industry experience at architecture and leadership levels. He has just recently stepped back from his role as Director of the AI Lab at Husqvarna to take up a new position as Chief Information and Digital Officer at Piab – the firm evolving automation through progressive gripping, lifting, and moving solutions since 1951. Away from his industry work, Girish is also a PhD fellow at KTH-Stockholm researching how AI is transforming customer value perception and disrupting existing business models.

As a strong believer in AI Business Model Innovation, Girish is passionate about moving behind the PoC to enterprise-wide industrialization and will be talking about the organizational structures that need to be in place to scale AI.

Author of ‘The Myth of the Algorithm’ and ‘A Data-Driven Enterprise', Richard is amongst the 100 most influential people in data (DataIQ). Former Chief Data Officer at AXA, Richard is now the Chief AI & Data Strategist at Telefonica – one of the largest telecommunication operators in the world. Alongside his roles in business, Richard has also held positions at the Technical University of Madrid, the University of Amsterdam, the University of Sao Paulo, and the University of Paris-South. 

As founder of Telefonica’s Big Data for Social Good department and co-founder of the Spanish Observatory of the Social and Ethical Impact of AI, Richard is a passionate advocate for AI for Good. During this episode, we will be talking about the importance of data sharing, industry collaboration, and responsibility within AI.

As the head of AI Engineering, Errol is responsible for machine learning & data science development for the H&M group. With 15 years of experience from a wide variety of industries, Errol has been able to reach an expert-level in working with and extracting value from data. Prior to joining H&M, Errol was Director of Data Science at ThinkBig Analytics, Lead Data Scientist at the Vodafone Group, and held various analytics roles at Nordea so he can take both a strategic and a technical viewpoint on data.
