Simulation Driven Design Workshop From Altair & Brompton Bicycle

16th September - AMRC, University of Sheffield

Providing Design Engineers Easy Access to Powerful Simulation Tools

FREE to attend, morning workshop
16th Sep | AMRC with Boeing, Knowledge Transfer Centre, S60 5TZ

This free to attend workshop will provide an introduction to Altair Inspire & Altair SimSolid, powerful simulation technologies built specifically for Design Engineers. The solutions enable companies to rapidly explore and optimise new designs, while accurately investigating if your CAD models will meet performance goals in just a few seconds.

Attendees will see first hand how simulation technology can help you to ‘Design the Difference’ by accessing optimisation technology utilising’s Altair’s two decades of application knowledge. See how Altair Inspire & Altair SimSolid can accurately capture complex mechanical behaviour, optimise weight, verify performance and assess manufacturability; all fully integrated with your existing CAD environment and design workflow.

If you're using SolidWorks, Creo, Onshape, Fusion 360, Solid Edge or Inventor, this event is for you!

The workshop agenda will primarily consists of live demonstrations showcasing Altair Inspire & Altair SimSolid on the iconic Brompton bike structure, to highlight the unique capability of the technologies and provide practical examples that can be applied in your workplace, complementing your CAD system.

Attend & try SimSolid for yourself - structural simulation that operates directly on original, un-meshed, un-simplified CAD geometry, providing accurate results in seconds to minutes!

Who should attend?

  • Designers & Design Managers engaged to ‘design the difference’ within their organisation
  • Directors defining company strategy and design toolsets
  • Design Engineers struggling to effectively utilise simulation within their CAD platform

Why should you attend?

  • Understand how simulation can inject innovation into product design
  • Assess the ease of use of the Altair Inspire & Altair SimSolid structural and manufacturing tools
  • Understand the unique licensing system and the value it can deliver

All attendees received 1 months use of Altair technology for free, along with complimentary instructor led training for you and your design team.*

*Offer available to new customers only.

Why Altair Inspire & SimSolid
Increase Quality
Allow your team to rapidly explore and assess designs for static loads, normal modes, buckling and motion through an intuitive user experience leveraging its embedded physics engine. This enables users to ensure a quality and dependable design prior to any prototyping or production.
Reduce Cost
Leveraging simulation-driven design with Inspire early and often in the design process enables costs savings by reducing material usage, re-design iterations, and overall design time.
Meet Time to Market Goals
Simulation-driven design equips its users with the tools necessary to accelerate their overall design process. Inspire helps them to streamline the production of high-performance, quality parts and products. By utilizing Altair Inspire & Altair SimSolid in the concept design phase, users can arrive at an ideal design concept extremely early in the process and reduce, or even eliminate re-design iterations.
