Meet the Community

Dr. Axel Hänschke: Member of the OpenRadioss Steering Committee

With a career in the automotive industry, Axel brings his extensive knowledge and expertise in CAE to the OpenRadioss Community. Responsible for variety of projects in VW and Ford, in 2019 he joined CPS Consulting, in the role of Head of Business Development for Simulation projects and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

He is currently working to help the vehicle tire (tyre) industry to meet the challenges of virtual product development to generate tools to significantly reduce the need for prototypes, “physical” wheel/tire tests and vehicle tests.

Towards Virtual Tire Development

To accelerate the transition into virtual tire development, the automotive industry is developing a generic description of the physical tire parameters, in combination with a tire database to allow the fast creation of the new products based on starting parameter sets.

During his presentation at the upcoming 2024 OpenRadioss Users’ Day, Axel will explain how to translate the very specific tire FEA solver description into the OpenRadioss environment.
