Meet the Community

Olivier Wienholtz | Director, Software Development, Altair

Introducing Olivier Wienholtz, director of software development at Altair, and a key member of the OpenRadioss Community. With over 24 years expertise in software development, Olivier’s recent social posts feature OpenRadioss running on a $100 Raspberry Pi 5 (an Arm Cortex A76 processor). Although a fun experiment, it does open the exciting world of dynamic event simulation to a whole host of students and teachers with only modest computing budgets.

Check out Olivier’s OpenRadioss Community YouTube video here for more details on how to install the development environment to create OpenRadioss binaries. Then run a simple crash simulation model and use ParaView to postprocess OpenRadioss results.
