We are experiencing a revolution in the nature of the products we purchase. They are increasingly electrified and mechatronic in nature, combining structures and electronics; heralding the arrival of the next generation of smart, connected products. Preparing the next generation of engineers to support this revolution is a challenge. First hosted in 2019, the Second Altair Academic Outreach Event is a free-to-attend virtual seminar that aims to highlight the Academic institutions that are responding rapidly to this trend by integrating engineering simulation technologies used in industry into both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Altair is at the vanguard of these trends, creating industry-leading engineering simulation solutions that are deployed across the world’s largest engineering employers. We have developed strong relationships with an increasing number of Universities and wish to broaden this base by creating awareness of our support to industry and academia; helping academia to develop students to meet industry’s increasing demand for engineering simulation.

Who Should Attend?

Professors and Lecturers responsible for undergraduate course content or postgraduate research software in engineering departments.

Why Should You Attend?

  • Gain an appreciation for the increasing role of engineering simulation in product design
  • See how Universities have incorporated Altair’s solutions into under and postgraduate courses
  • Understand how Altair can provide foundation notes, industry case studies etc
  • Learn about Altair’s unrivaled academic license, providing access to simulation technologies at minimum cost
  • Interact with our speakers from across academia and industry
