Dr. Ingo Mierswa is the founder of RapidMiner and now serves as Altair’s SVP of Product Development. He is an industry-veteran data scientist since starting to develop RapidMiner at the Artificial Intelligence Division of the TU Dortmund University in Germany. Dr. Mierswa has authored numerous award-winning publications about machine learning and artificial intelligence. As an entrepreneur he spearheaded the go-international strategy of RapidMiner, led multiple rounds of fundraising, and acquired Radoop to push complex analytical workflows in scalable infrastructures. His biggest achievement though is bringing the world’s best team to RapidMiner and now to Altair.

Natasha Mashanovich
Director, Data Science, Altair

Natasha is a Data Scientist, educator, and researcher with extensive expertise in developing AI-driven business solutions across industries. She leads a DS team delivering end-to-end analytical solutions, specializing in risk management for finance, insurance, and manufacturing sectors. Her focus includes credit risk, insurance pricing, anomaly detection, and optimization models that drive significant value and risk mitigation. Previously, Natasha was a Lecturer at City University in London and a Research Fellow, collaborating on projects with the MoD UK and Imperial College. She holds a PhD in Management of Information Systems from the University of Surrey.

Christian Buckner
SVP, Data Science, Altair

Christian Buckner leads Altair’s IoT and Smart Product Development engineering teams. He has a strong background in IoT and connectivity, using his past experiences as consultant, entrepreneur and development lead to bring a unique perspective. With Altair, he has spearheaded many of the initiatives to combine IoT and connectivity with Altair’s traditional technology offering. To start, he led the development of toggled iQ, a connected product line which combines powerful end user software with smart, connected devices to optimize building operation (togglediq.com). Today, he uses his background and Altair’s deep experience in product engineering to guide the development of Altair RapidMiner.

Sean Martin
Chief Scientist, Graph Technology, Altair

Sean Martin is a technology leader and innovator based in Boston, Massachusetts. He is the Founder and former CTO of Cambridge Semantics Inc., a software company specializing in knowledge graph technologies. Following the acquisition of Cambridge Semantics by Altair last April, Sean now serves as Chief Scientist, Graph Technology at Altair. With over 30 years of experience in the tech industry, Sean has a proven track record of driving innovation, having previously held the position of Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM Corp, where he received numerous patents and awards for his technical innovations.
